Animation Preview

Here's the first 53 seconds of the intro scene from my animation project Beneath the Ruined Tower of Xenopus, based on the radio play my players and I did last year.

If anyone's dabbled in animation you'll know that 53 seconds is quite a bit of work!  But in this day of digital film-making it's not as long as traditional old school painted cell animation.  I'm pretty happy with the way it's turning out though I'll make a few adjustments; namely the final shot in this segment I'm going to make a bit longer.

I've got the rough mix of the sound track attached to it as well.

One minute down and twenty-nine to go!

Enjoy and feel free to comment.

Bus Stop Animation

Here is an animated clip I've been working on to improve my knowledge of working with Anime Studio.  I kind of like the concept inspired by Paul Kirchner's The Bus comic strip from the 80's and may continue with a series of them.  Anyway, it's a great learning exercise.

Tales Of High Adventure Now Available For Kindle

Earlier this year my colleagues and I put out in print what we hoped would be an on going series of pulp adventure stories called Tales Of High Adventure. The first issue contained reprints of some of our favorite pulp authors from Robert E. Howard and H.P. Lovecraft as well as new authors and comic stories.

Our hope was to continue the series with new authors and new stories.

Unfortunately, life always takes unexpected turns. Though we had put together most of the second issue we never quite finished it for publication.

During the summer we put out our Tales of High Adventure Radio Plays: Beneath the Ruined Tower of Zenopus. We hoped you enjoyed those and have some more in the works.

Well, as we finally get back together to tackle finishing up issue 2 of our Tales of High Adventure pulp magazine I've put together the original book for Kindle readers. Since there were a number of comic pages and illustrations I found the Kindle ebook format worked best for our publication.

So those with Kindles check out great pulp adventures with our Tales of High Adventure book now available on Kindle through Amazon.

The book is still available through ComiXpress in print format!

Creative Commoners

Corey, Level 1 Gamer, and fellow gamer group member along with a couple of his colleagues have a pod cast called Creative Commoners a weekly podcast discussion for regular folks looking to add a bit more creativity to their lives. It's a great little show that's quite entertaining as they casually chat about creative endeavors.

They asked me to come on the show and talk about self-publishing and the radio-play. So if you have a chance to sit back today and listen to a great conversation about the creative process, check out Creative Commoners Episode 11.
